TG / MG Cloud Temperature (Humidity) Logger — User Manual

Smart device for mass-concrete temperature / temp-humidity monitoring · Huanyu Duobiao™

VersionVer20260827cdp.0531hyt.com

1Product Overview

The TG / MG series are cloud-connected scheduled temperature (and humidity) loggers, available in 8 / 16 / 24 / 32 channel variants, designed for mass-concrete construction. A single unit independently performs acquisition, display, storage, 4G communication, positioning and power management — no on-site PC required. Data can be viewed and managed anytime via website, WeChat or mobile APP.

TG vs MG

Both share the same hardware platform; they differ in what they measure:

  • TG model: focused on temperature monitoring — one high-precision sensor per channel, for mass-concrete temperature control.
  • MG model: adds humidity monitoring on top of TG, supporting simultaneous temperature & humidity, for scenarios that also need humidity data (e.g. steam-curing humidity, ambient humidity).
MG humidity specs: MG temperature parameters are identical to TG (see later chapters). The MG model uses the sht3xArp integrated temp-humidity sensor: humidity range 0–100 %RH, accuracy ±2 %RH, resolution 0.1 %RH; temperature range -40–125℃, accuracy ±0.3℃, resolution 0.125℃. Each sensor integrates one temperature and one humidity element, so when connecting humidity sensors the effective humidity channel count = total channels ÷ 2 (e.g. a 32-channel unit takes 16 temp-humidity sensors, yielding 16 temperature + 16 humidity channels).

Typical Applications

  • Raft foundations and basement slabs of high-rise buildings
  • Bridge piers, pile caps, hydraulic dams
  • Any project requiring automated temperature (and humidity) monitoring and curing control

TG Feature Summary

  • A single TG unit works standalone: built-in flash storage (auto-backup of on-site scheduled data) and 4G (real-time upload to cloud); no on-site PC needed — view and manage from phone, tablet or PC anytime, anywhere.
  • After reconnecting, data auto-resumes and back-fills; TF-card data offload supported.
  • Web auto-generates reports and plots curves.
  • All parameters (sampling interval, channel count, thresholds, etc.) are set directly from the web or mobile client — no trip to site required.
  • Battery life on one charge: dual Li-ion (2x18650, default) at least 75 days (imported chip) / at least 115 days (domestic chip); single Li-ion about 35 days.
  • Advanced support: directly links with the 【Huanyu Duobiao】 relay controller (switch and flow control), using real-time temperature (humidity) data to dynamically and automatically (any definable logic) control circulation water, steam valves, electric blankets and other on-site curing equipment — true data-driven smart curing.
  • Temperature data can be rendered as section heat-maps; 3D animated views of component data are supported.
  • Protects your investment: directly replaces the TR-TF series loggers and can be upgraded to 16 / 24 / 32 channels.
  • On-device geo-location: three positioning modes (cell-tower [default] / GPS [custom] / BeiDou BD [custom]).
  • On-device self-report: voltage / power / remaining battery / device temperature.
  • Low cost.
  • Industrial-grade chips, stable in harsh on-site temperature environments.
  • Strong sensor drive and noise immunity: sensor leads up to 200 m with no loss of accuracy — stable and reliable (rival mass-concrete products usually cannot reach this length).
  • Supports data push and integration with smart-construction-site platforms (multiple successful deployments).
  • View and manage data via mobile app, web and WeChat official account.
  • Continuously enriched software: user-defined data logic such as over-threshold alarms for temperature difference and cooling rate.
  • Patented product.
  • Comparison advantage: versus our legacy wireless system, each TG08/TG16/TG24/TG32 integrates the wireless collector, repeater and DTU of that system into one unit, and adds logger functionality.
  • Supports mass-concrete cloud mode — no on-site configuration needed.
  • No on-site PC required — truly distance-unlimited.
  • Data redundancy: built-in flash auto-backup, with optional external TF card, USB 2.0 FS, Bluetooth, etc. for offload.

Detailed Steps

  1. Open the enclosure, insert the SIM into the DTU SIM slot; screw on the 4G antenna (tight).
  2. Insert sensors into the matching channel sockets: press the orange latch with a flat screwdriver, insert the lead, release to lock; the two leads of one sensor must go into the same numbered pair of holes.
  3. Install battery in the box, observing polarity (reverse polarity may burn the unit); tuck the nylon strap inside for easy later removal.
  4. Close the lid. Press power/display once to power on, press display again to check each channel reading (E1 = no sensor on that channel).
  5. TG units do not need local clock/interval setting — set these on the cloud and they push down. To apply immediately, press dump (ZC): the unit samples once, starts 4G, sends data to cloud, and fetches correct time & parameters.
Battery polarity: Reverse polarity can permanently burn the device! Verify polarity and contact.
Tip: Fully charge new batteries before use; each unit ships with 2×18650 (one working, one spare). Low battery triggers auto-alarm; hot-swap supported.

5Sensors & Mass-Concrete Layout

Sensors are embedded inside the concrete with leads routed to the device. Typically during rebar tying, sensors are bound at the measuring points per the scheme, then inserted before concrete pouring.

Temperature Sensor (physical)

Fig 5-X Temperature sensor (1)
Fig 5-X Temperature sensor (1)
Fig 5-X Temperature sensor (2)
Fig 5-X Temperature sensor (2)

Layout Principles

  • Multiple measuring points on a plane; each point has 3–8 sensors along its vertical direction (surface, center, bottom, etc.);
  • Fix sensors to the rebar cage so they withstand vibrator and rapid pouring impact;
  • Leads are heat-resistant, high-strength, polarity-free;
  • Lead length customizable 0.5–20 m in 0.25 m steps, extendable to ≤250 m.

Scheme generation: Point assignment & channel planning can be auto-generated with solgen.0531hyt.com (online temperature-scheme generator/editor), then pushed to device & cloud.

On-site Installation & Fixing

Sensors are fixed to the rebar cage during rebar tying, able to withstand vibrator and rapid pouring impact. Reference on-site fixing:

MG Temp-Humidity Sensor Wiring

The MG model adds humidity on the same TG hardware; its enclosure is identical to TG. Wiring:

  • 2-wire temperature sensor (e.g. ads11xx series): occupies 1 channel, connect to the orange latches as in TG;
  • 4-wire temp-humidity sensor (sht3xArp): each contains temperature + humidity elements, occupies 2 channels (one sensor = 2 channels); connect to the numbered terminals per the diagram.
Fig 5-X 2-wire temperature sensor wiring to MG (ads11xx)
Fig 5-X 2-wire temperature sensor wiring to MG (ads11xx)
Fig 5-X 4-wire temp-humidity sensor wiring to MG (sht3xArp)
Fig 5-X 4-wire temp-humidity sensor wiring to MG (sht3xArp)
Channel conversion: Because each sht3xArp has two elements, the MG effective humidity channel count = total channels ÷ 2. E.g. an MG32B with 32 physical channels takes 16 temp-humidity sensors, yielding 16 temperature + 16 humidity channels. In practice, temp-humidity and pure temperature sensors may be mixed: each temp-humidity sensor occupies 2 channels, each pure-temperature sensor occupies 1 channel, and the two types can be combined flexibly.

6Operation & Display

Video 6-1 TG / MG device usage walkthrough

Local Keys

KeyFunction
Power / DisplayOff-state: press to power on; On-state: press again to cycle channel temps, clock, voltage, etc.
Dump (ZC)Trigger one measurement & upload to cloud, and fetch server parameters (incl. correct time)
Power-off / ResetPower off; or reset a frozen unit

LED Display Meaning

After power-on, pressing display repeatedly shows:

  • Brand logo (pinyin initials of Huanyu Duobiao);
  • Currently set channel count (e.g. 16);
  • Per-channel temperature (E1 = no sensor on that channel);
  • Device clock (hh:mm);
  • Battery voltage (Power = x.x V);
  • Minutes until next scheduled start.

Automatic Work Cycle

At each interval the unit auto-starts; the LED sequentially shows: SAVE (save) → Doing (measure channels) → power & init 4G terminal → check SIM / base-station → (if needed) GPS fix → send to cloud → show minutes-to-next-start → power off.

Tip: To make a newly set interval take effect immediately, press dump (ZC) once — the unit samples at once and fetches the latest parameters.

7Cloud Platform (cdp.0531hyt.com)

TG / MG upload via 4G to the cloud platform cdp.0531hyt.com; users view and manage data anytime via browser, WeChat or APP — no client software required.

Workflow

  1. Register and log in to the cloud account;
  2. Under 「Device Registration」 add each device: every unit has a 24-digit serial; you may set an alias;
  3. Set its channel count, sampling interval, rated voltage (rated ≈ battery count × 4V);
  4. The device uploads automatically; view/download under 「Latest Data」「History」「Curves」「XLS Report」;
  5. Set alarm thresholds (max temp, inner-outer difference, surface-core difference) and control logic as needed.
Private deployment: For private use, single-machine / LAN deployment is supported. Minimum 2C4G · 120G SSD, recommended Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or Docker.
Cloud manual: Cloud platform user manual: https://www.0531hyt.com/manual/cdp.

8Data, Curves & Reports

The cloud offers multiple views and exports:

  • Real-time data: latest uploaded per-channel data of each device;
  • History curves: temperature (humidity) vs time per device/channel, with zoom & grouping;
  • XLS report: export history as Excel;
  • Section heat-map: color cloud-map of temperature (humidity) distribution across layers/sections;
  • Grouped / section dynamic views: visualize temperature evolution.

9Alarms & Auto-Control

The system supports flexible alarms and auto-control:

  • Set thresholds for max internal temp, inner-outer difference, surface-core difference, etc.;
  • On breach: local audible/visual alarm, and push via SMS, WeChat, cloud, EMAIL;
  • Arbitrary logic on real-time data can drive relay output to control circulating-water solenoid valves, steam valves, electric blankets, etc. — automated temperature control;
  • Integration with multiple smart-site platforms (data push, BIM, etc.).
DG linkage: The same-platform DG system can measure/control on-site flow meters, VFDs, solenoids, closing the auto-control loop.
Alarm threshold setting: Configure alarm thresholds in the cloud platform cdp.0531hyt.com under 「Custom Alarm Settings」. The platform has a built-in one-click generator that automatically produces recommended thresholds from mass-concrete codes (e.g. surface-core difference ≤25℃, cooling rate), so no manual entry is needed; cite the current construction code for the exact clauses.

10Data Re-transmission & Backup

TG / MG has complete data redundancy and re-transmission; no data loss on disconnect.

Multi-level Redundancy

  • Built-in e-disk: backup every 1 h, 31-day loop (holds data during outage for re-send);
  • TF card (optional): sequential record, offline redundancy;
  • Cloud: data turned into DB, web, reports, graphics.
Dump & re-send: Besides TF-card dump, a custom Bluetooth + mobile APP data-dump option is available (for offline / no-network scenarios). The cloud platform cdp.0531hyt.com also provides a 「Forced Data Re-transmission」 function that remotely triggers a full re-upload once the device is online.

Outage Re-send

After network recovery the unit automatically re-sends data held on the e-disk, ensuring completeness. The local 「dump (ZC)」 key also triggers an upload & parameter fetch on demand.
