What is the temperature range of the temperature sensor?
The temperature sensor uses a digital temperature chip with a measurement range of -55°C to +153°C, covering all concrete monitoring conditions including winter low-temperature construction and mass concrete hydration heat stages.
What is the measurement accuracy of the temperature sensor?
Factory accuracy is ±0.5°C (typical ±0.2°C), meeting mass concrete monitoring standards. A ±0.1°C version is available for higher precision requirements. Accuracy remains stable throughout the service life.
What cable length options are available for the sensor?
Sensor cable length is customizable from 0.5m to 20m in 0.25m increments. Common lengths such as 0.5m, 1m, 2m, and 3m are in stock. Special lengths can also be customized. For TG series, the maximum distance from device to sensor is 200 meters.
How is the sensor installed in concrete?
Secure the sensor at the designated position and depth before pouring concrete, during rebar tying. The sensor is protected by a metal (or nylon) housing, with the cable routed along the rebar to the collection end. See the Sensor Layout Animation for detailed steps.
Do I need to distinguish polarity when connecting the sensor?
No. The sensor has a built-in rectifier bridge — no polarity distinction is needed, eliminating reverse-connection risk. Simply plug into the corresponding collector channel and it is ready to use, greatly simplifying on-site wiring.
What is the heat resistance of the sensor cable?
The sensor cable uses high-temperature-resistant materials capable of withstanding up to 120°C, suitable for prolonged high-temperature hydration heat inside mass concrete. The cable also has excellent tensile strength for on-site embedding. Armored cable is available for high-temperature, high-pressure conditions such as asphalt.
Can the sensor be reused?
Yes. Sensors connect via plug-in terminals and can be easily detached. After a project ends, sensors can be moved to the next project. However, sensors embedded in concrete cannot be retrieved — plan accordingly.
Does the sensor need periodic calibration?
Digital temperature sensors are factory-calibrated and require no periodic calibration under normal use. Sensor accuracy remains stable throughout the service life. For special accuracy requirements, you can arrange third-party calibration. Verified by Shandong Provincial Electronic Product Inspection Institute and certified by national key laboratories.
What is the size of the sensor probe?
The sensor probe (sensor head) is approximately 3 cm long with a housing diameter of about 7 mm. The metal (or nylon) housing is rugged and durable, ideal for concrete embedding. Dual-sensor probes (two sensors in one housing) are available for special applications.
What are the two field layout methods for temperature sensors?
Two main methods: ① Each measurement hole has its own dedicated collector — sensor cables run directly from the measurement point to the collector with no horizontal wiring, simple and nearly maintenance-free. ② Multiple measurement holes share one collector — horizontal cables (using 8-core network cable + quick connectors, max 250m) connect sensors from multiple holes to the same collector, reducing the number of collectors needed. Choose flexibly based on project requirements.
